Here a video of a saddelback butterfly eating mysis bought it Sunday at AV this fish is pretty tough to get eating so I'm pretty excited gotta see If it likes sps hopefully it doesn't and I can add to my display I know the odds r against me but it's a hobby and I've always loved this fish

I knew that was a good one when we saw it eating. Test it by putting in some cheap fast growing acros, zoa, softy and LPS frags in there with it. Even though the species is known to nip there is always the exceptions.

Yes it is still in the tank. We cannot guarantee it will be there for long and we do not reserve fish. Good Luck but the earlier you get there the better chance you have of getting this fish and yes it is eating. All the Aussie wrasses are eating well.

Did they have any Lineatus ?... A female or sub male (yellow tail) should turn full male soon enough.

Yes they had a few juveniles but not the adult male shown in the pic.

My personal preference is to buy small/juvi/female wrasses...they are cheaper, live longer (super males may be yrs older) and will eventually turn into males/super makes anyway...
I think you should go right back there and get a Lineatus...definitely a 'show piece' fish

I've never seen or read anyone that had a juv. Lineatus turn into a supermale. I've seen that for flame wrasses but not the lineatus.

Happens all the time...helps to have other fairy wrasses in the tank
