Limpets are strick algae eaters. I've had one in my tank for years and it never ate or went near any of my corals, and I don't know of anyone else that has one where it did. They usually stay either on the glass or the rocks and actually like the dark.

I have 2 now since the summer, got they from Sean store in Brooklyn, and nothing has been touched in my tank.

Considering Live Aquaria never has any for sale, actually they're hard to find for sale to begin with, I wouldn't go by what they wrote on their site.

SOME types of limpets can eat coral if their food source disappears. They also will eat coraline algae if there is not enough algae to survive. I never had a problem and my tank was always spotless.

BTW: I never saw the black and white keyhole limpet in the picture.

I just ordered my 400W halides. I'll play around with placement over the tank, I may need to raise them by 12 inches or so, because as was mentioned, TOO much light will either bleach corals or partially "bleach" them when the expel zozantheli(sp?) to compensate.

what size tank? seriously consider exchanging the 400's for 250's and add a luminarc reflector, light stays in tank, less electric usage less heat generated by the the bulb.
JMHO

I've used 175, 250 and 400 and had best results with the 250's more bang for the buck with the lunenarc reflectors
