I might be interested in building a sump as well. I have to figure out sump design and size before anything though. In general, what size do you think would be appropriate for a tank in the 30 gallon range? Closer to low 30's.

The Dem are 20l x 9w x 16h. I had it on my 35hex and then my 58 before upgrading to a larger sump. It work very well.

In the picture the sump is resting on a 20gal tank for reference to it's actually size.
