Has anybody bought cardiff 24 gal tank yet. It really looks beautiful and classy. I'm looking to buy one. I haven't seen it in person yet only on web sites.:tub:

I bought one new from saltwater aquariums. The stand could use an access door in the front, other than that it's a beauty.

There really nice i have one also. Like hal said no access to the stand.
But i'm sure there is a way to modified it.

I loved the look of the Cardiff, however, 2 negatives. With a curved tank, there is some distortion on glass. Also, no access door was a big negative.

I went with the Solana and love it.

The distortions really not that bad.I have a friend that is going to open it and put hinges so i can put a sump under it . The solana is ok, but really not worth all the hype. i had both
and when i decide to drop one i got rid of the solana. The cardiff is way more unique imo.

PS. For me, I can not understand why anyone would put the opening in the back. I need access to the tank. Who would want to leave back open...

I am not sure if this is important. Maybe there is a structural reason, why the tank opens from back, based on the underneath. Again, never seen it. I would just make sure, if your cutting the stand, that the supports are strong enough to hold the weight.
