I am sorry - don't want to reflect on what the new Vendor has to offer, but compare apples to apples - with AE, you go and see the stock, or can see it online (on this friggin forum, no less), and it will be delivered for free - not for $45... Sheesh, do you people want to have our vendors (who, mostly, are amazing and stand by their customers as well as their products?) sell to us, or just rely on www.buywysiwygfor$$$.com??

russian did you read the whole thing or let him reply for pick up ? which would allow you to see the item ? amd what vendor here sell's mini colonies at those prices ? no offense to the vendors. but before putting it down let the guy answer
I am sorry - didn't want to put down this vendor (and please, accept my apologies if it came across that way) - but again, just wanted to not have any of our existing vendors who've proven themselves to stand by us and their product to be pissed off at the board because of "take that" comments.
We've already had at least one vendor drop out because people were undercutting his prices via PMs. Was this not a loss for the board?
Business is business - and offering 10% vs. 20% discount is a decision a vendor makes. I applaud this vendor for making his pricing structure so clear on his site. But, for the fear of repeating myself, compare apples to apples.
I have gone to vendors who 'allow pick-up', but do most of their sales via internet - and it's not the same thing as a brick-and-mortar store (AE, etc), where you can walk around, ask questions, come back the next day, ask the same questions, and wait and see how your animal does before you buy it. Just my POV.
I love the vendors here, and want to keep as many around as possible - we truly have an embarassment of riches, and it would suck to go to the days of all-internet sales.
