thanks! they WERE BTA that split a few weeks ago, but after the first week of having them, the tenticles deflated and lost the bubble tips, and now ive had them for maybe 2 or so months and stayed like that... green with a little pinkish tip.

hahaha, i have a few tricks as well, but im sure yours are better :smash:, but it was one of those deals where like i said, i use a MAG 18 to transfer water around and do water changes, so when i told brittany to plug in pump, she said she could not reach and i had to do it, and she held the pipe facing the new sand, and when the pump kicked on....SPLASH, sand and all everywhere. lol its all good, its crystal clear today :approve: thanks

Great job once again.

Next time.......

1 - cover the entire sandbed with a plastic garbage bag (non-treated)
2 - put a pot, bowl, Chinese take food container, whatever, on the plastic bag
3 - put hose/tubing into bowl
4 - turn on water, but NOT at 1800 gph :smash:
5 - watch tank fill with crystal clear water. Works perfect all the time

The 'secret' is now out.

So, cyno is taking over my sand bed. I know the 3 day bag trick works amazing, but I have clams, anemones, and other corals that I don't think will survive if I do that. What do you guys recommend doing?

So far all I did was increase flow and dosed special blend...
