You're right, 10k does give out more PAR. But it aslo depends on how close you place the lights from the top of the tank.
If you were able to keep acros with the light you have now, those froggies you have on top would be fried.

I had an LPS and softies reef for about 7 years. I love all the movement of the corals and the size of the colonies.

Thanks doc ,me to love they swaying hopefully the mp40 I'm getting will get everything swaying to a wave motoin that would be great if it can do that ,I was gonna get a wavebox but I have no room in my tank for it hopefully I can get the same effect with the mp40

I have a wave box, I love it but it take up tooo much space. In my next build I will put it in the back, but the tank can not have internal overflow boxes.

Harry u think the mp40 will give me the wave effect like a wave box ,I love the way a wavebox works and swaya coral but I would never fit it if I didn't cheap out and went for the 180 gal I would have been able to throw one on my only hope its the mp40 I just hope its not to strong I'm debating on going with the mp10 instead anyone have any input on this for me ?

I have 2 250 metal halides with 20 k raduim bulbs , 2 48 inche h/0 t5 with atinic plus bulbs in them

To be honest I really dont know. I have two of them and really shold look into it.

It time to clean them, maybe i'll take them out, clean and set up a demo tank during the MnG and try them out.

Very nice tank. I like the set up in the basement, looks nice and easy to maintain. I wish I had that.
