Whatever sand makes you happy Stan (I myself love that type of sand). I was only trying to save you from a headache of sugar grain sand. Unless you're going with a low water flow set-up, you're going to have issues with it. And you know after some time almost everyone starts getting into the sps corals, so why not prepare for it ahead of time.

Caribsea Seaflor Special Reef Grade

I got one 40lbs bag and one 15lbs bag.

Have a final in an hour... Back to some last minute studying.......

Easy does it, take your time with this tank. More ideas come to you with time. So, have you decided on a stain color for the stand ?

good choice...thats what I use..the larger grains will prevent it from flying around

Thanks Mike, yeah that seemed to be the consensus.

Ugh 4 more finals to go till I'm free (for a month or so haha)

As soon as I'm done going to put all my effort into getting this tank finally up.

And working full time over the break to support my tank (both reef and gas) not to mention outrageous under 25 years old NY car insurance.
