i know its crazy. i posted my old tank a 120 w/o overflows on craigs list a month ago got about 1000 emails of junk in reply .. i posted it here an hour ago got 3 people that want it tomorow its crazy.. i love it.. i belonged to a forum in NJ.. not saying which,lol but noting compared to here!

ya for sure. i just saw your tank thread it looks like a very cool build also, i also really like how you set it up so you could have the 40 breeder there. are u gonna have it as a a fuge display lol ?

lol nooo its gonna be a low flow displas some light fans and seahorses, pipefish
the closet behind the tank will have my 40 gal fuge and a seperate 40 gallon rock only tank for filtration and i will do my water changes there so i dont disturb the display tanks

You will have to hang it high to cover 36" wide

Pdnyc69 is right you should look into something that is going to give you a wider light spread.

Update

After not having power for 5 days and working i was finally able to get back to working on the tank got some of the plumbing done. will be doing more tomorrow when i get the 40 breeder for the sump.

Let there be light, it will probably be a little higher up. And i notice a couple of people mentioned considering different light set up to get a better coverage of light, I am acually planning on having the whole back of the tank lined with LR so i wont really need that much light back that much. and the light is not hanging from the center it is 4 more inches toward the front as of right now. 3x250MH 2x96PC(actinic)

Fish list as of right now , feel free to chime in if you know from experience if any of those don't get along well or just wanna recommend an awesome fish i should consider.(aside from the Lineatus tang i know he is aggressive and will be put in from the current tank i have set up now and if he is too aggressive when new tank mates are added he will be sold)

Filled up and running!...well at first the first leak check.

Got the sump from Motortendz (thanks again) and drilled it and siliconed some dividers in. I'm going to have to drain the sump and add another divider once i know the footprint of the skimmer that i get in 3 days.
also the long pipe in the tank for the return will not be there only until replacement nozzles arrive

It worked out great that night i cleaned it out and drilled it ,I was too anxious lol. Then the next day I siliconed it and let it set for 2 days and filled it up today everything looks to be good. thanks a lot again, ill see you at the swap with your frag.

sounds good.. i get my mini frag tank tomorow from custom king.. gonna plumb it into my system so i can grow out some frags before i put them in my display and a place where i can put frags from colonies from my display.. so maybe by nxt swap ill be able to contribute

The tank is now mostly complete!!!!!! and has been cycling for over two weeks now while i have been away on vacation.

At first i thought i would use home depot sand and seed it with sand from my current tank. WHAT A BIG MISTAKE that was. after it not clearing up after a couple 100% water changes i said screw it took it out and got 200+lbs of live sand.
