water change every 2 weeks top and change phosband and carbon every 2 weeks

Hey Jarrett, I went thru your build twice. Are you using a UV sterilizer ? If so what size ?
I need to know what watts (25) and what size pump or gph to use. i have a turbo twister 18 watt and rio something. not sure if that's sufficient. Also I need some LPS steriods LOL.

Yeah once a week is too much for me because unlike u guys who have awesome setups with sumps plumbed to your basements so u can do water changes like a gentlemen I have to squeeze my fat head under my tank and make a mess of my wifes hard wood floors !! It's a pain in the ass !! So I'm thinking of starting a every 2 weeks 20 gal wc filter sock change every 3 days carbon and gfo change every month

yeah i run 2 - 50w uv's

and mikeny i been doing big water changes b/c i do tend to feed alot and dont want po4 to go up

nope!!! used the whole bottle and po4 is still 2.5+
I might do a 100% water change soon and see what happens
P.s for those who dont know this is my house tank that i am converting into reef

dame and theres no fish and coral in the tank right . If not mybe your live rock is leaching p04 if you have live rock in there

this is so typical how every system is different and what works for one may not work another yet everyone having beautiful tanks....I only do 15 gal WC a week, change the filter socks twice a week, change carbon once a month and phosban every three months...

I think big wc keeps my PO4 down in my 220, just sucks that i eat thru rodi filters b/c i also top off 4gals a day
