So I have cut down on spending and was planning to just save up for a 90 gallon! Truth is, that just doesn't seem to be in the cards. With the economy and overall status of everything I figured I would hold off on buying anything. Of course, this only lasted a few days. I was on nano reef and got talking to a few people about picos as I always wanted one for some sexy shrimp.
Saw this tank called the Nano Wave 9 on sale for freakin 89 bucks. I WAS IN SHOCK
it had my name all over it. I resisted for a couple days but folded today!
Ordered it and on its way

check it out

I would love to get a pair of tank raised sea horses but we see

Look out pico owners, I am gonna do this one right!

nice find on the nanowave...and comes with free shipping! 9g is still considered a nano IMO....anything under 5g would be a pico...

consider some dwarf seahorses...those would be dope...

I am working all night tonight and hopefully it will slow down so I can start researching livestock.
I will post pics of the tank once it comes for anyone who wants info.

I am certainly doing a group of sexy shrimp. I really would like to do sea horses but if I do it, I wanna do it right!

Thanks everyone for the comments!

TANK HAS ARRIVED
looks great
will have to make overflow skimmer larger (blackbeard warned me of this)
otherwise pics to come but not filling it up or anything for some time!

also, seems sea horses just be too much. I want them but cant feed them multiple times a day so we prob have to hold

i just got my nano wave 9 in the mail, thanks for the suggestion Doc. Not sure what to do with it. I just put some live sand and a couple rocks from my 150. What do you mean about making the chamber larger. please let me know what your plans are, i dont really know anything about nano tanks.

so if you look the part where the tank skims into the back chambers is just really shallow. There are two spots (one in both corners).
I am going to dremel the openings deeper to allow more flow

i am at work till tuesday so after that i post pics and show you what i mean

Well to be honest, I just took it out of the box and that is it!
I start messing around with it tomorrow.
I still deciding on what to do with it really.

Lets see - Asking for everyones opinion here
Sexy shrimp are FOR SURE
will see if goby or something for fish
dwarf seahorses seem to be not likely to thrive unless daily feedings and live brine only

Black or light color sand?
What kind of rocks?

I am very unsure still hahaha
