I Got Civics In My Tank...BlueSi4's Tale of The 75RR

Been working on the canopy for a couple days now. For now i'm going to be using 2-175W Metal Halides (XM 20,000k).

Made my way to Wonderful World of Fish today, came back home with a Kole Tang.

Sump will be working tonight, the MH canopy is close on being finished.

March 5th UPDATE

Canopy is done, finally. I just have to find a way to mount it in the tank and i will be all set.

The sump is working but i have that flushing noise that i've read about, i will try to make the hole on the intake a bit bigger and we'll see what happens.

So the lights are finally installed, now gotta finish up the sump.

what kind of return pump you gona use.....the tank is right next to your bed....the remora should be fairly quiet.......so its the drain and the return pump that will throw you some noise....

I have a quiet one pump for the return. It's been fired for a couple hours and the noise is barely noticeable, the problems i'm having is with the intake, it's making a lot of noise. Once i get that all figured out, there shouldn't be much noise going on. As far as my bed, i'm not sure if it's gonna stay there or i'm going to move it.

Great upgrade on the fish tank but i see you need to upgrade the babe on the calander to 2008 cause i see it is still on 2005.

Haha, yea i know it's not 2005, but it's not like i have it hanging on the wall because of the calendar...haha

3/12/08 Update

Today i finally added the fish i've wanted since the beginning, the Flame Angelfish. I also made the move on the Coral Beatuy. I know many people advised against it, but i feel that if i ever want these 2 fish, now was the time.
It's been an hour since i added both to the tank, and the flame seems to be the more dominant. He chases the coral beauty around, but it seems that they are only playing a game, since he only kciks him out of his spot and then moves on.
At first, the Kole Tang wasn't happy, i don't think he still is, since he's chasing both of them around, hitting them with its tail, which is kinda funny.
As far as nipping at corals, the coral beauty is a model citizen for now, and the flame seems to nip at the Green Favia i got, so i guess i wll find a new home for the Favia if this continues, but the Flame is not going anywhere.

3/16/08 Update

Sad day today, my 2nd fish since i started this adventure has died. This time it was the Lawnmower Blenny, or Camouflage as we named him.
Camouflaged liked the new tank but wasn't able to find as much food as he found in the old tank, so i believe he died of starvation. He wouldn't eat the algae i put in the rocks, and he was getting skinnier and skinnier by the day, i tried everything but nothing worked. Hopefully he is in fish heaven, i even gave him a burial.

Well he went from being in a tank filled with algae to a tank that barely has any algae, not even brown algae, and yes, having the Kole in there doesn't help much either.
