Several frags were removed and discarded because of flatworms or they were just plain ugly
I haven't had much time to tweak the water parameters. Just keeping a low nutrient low maintenance tank......and trying to stay pest free. I finally got rid of the monti eating nudis. What a pain in the arse!
For now I will just let things grow and tweak the colors later.
The bulb was changed from a Phoenix 14k to an Iwasaki 50k
Noob, the 50k appears brighter and whiter than the Phoenix. The Phoenix did make my colors pop more though. I've only been running the 50k for a little more than a week so I really haven't made my mind up about this bulb yet.
Kathy, I have no heat problems whatsoever with this tank. Actually it runs kind of cool at 76 degrees. The room is always kept cool. There is a deltec mce 600 hidden back there
I got that banggai 4 months ago before all this endangered stuff came about
I also have a flame hawk in there too
I just had knee surgery so tank maintenance is on the back burner for a while. Looks pretty bad at the moment but I will fix it soon.
Rich that stand is really nice. You built it yourself ? The craftmanship looks excellent. I like that add pull out, is it a shalow draw or shelf for testing ? Either way looks great. The rock work looks great too. I especialy like how you set the frags. All in all great job.
