I was up at greenwich aquaria and saw my next tank (that I want). it's an Elos 160XL.

It has perfect dimensons, a cool overflow box, it's rimless, and the construction is flawless. Oh yeah it's glass also, which I like.
63 x 31.5 x 23.5 h and holds 200 gallons :)

on to the photos,

the bottom is made in panels so the tank can flex, it gives it protection in earthquakes

the overflow, simple one hose out , one hose in

Does it really? I would assume that despite having panels at the botom, if the sides aren't paneled either, the whole thing wouldn't flex. But I'm not a structural engineer.

Is there any threat of earthquakes in the tri-state area?

The tank is NICE though.

Wouldn't the panels help out more with uneven surfaces?

I can't vouch for the earthquake construction, but they are made in Italy, where they do have earthquakes. So I guess they have tested out the design.

they are very strong...that is the reason for the multi-pane bottom. It allows for the side stresses to be effectively transfered to the bottom.

"You can see the sizes on our website and you can email me for prices.
In general, Filtra systems start at 1700 and go up to around 3k. Systems start at 2100 and go up to around 5k. There are a few more options and other details that make these systems unique and I am sure they will be discussed as this thread continues. As always, let me know if you have any other questions."
