I thought I would post some pics of my tank. I have a shipment of 15 softball sized acroporas coming the week of the 10/21/07. I hope you enjoy. Ask any questions and I will try and answer. I will include my excel sheet of tank parameters.
Here is a simple text file output from my aquacontroller jr. You can import it into Excel for better format. It contains the temperature and ph of my effluent from my calcium reator. The PH is NOT the tank's PH. The tank ph is stable arount 8.2 to 8.3
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I've been busy growing corals! What do you guys think of the growth? This isn't the most recent. I will add a new one when the lights are back on.
Thanks for the compliments. I started off with 10k bulbs, moved to 14k and will be replacing those with 20k this weekend. If you haven't noticed, I'm currently battling some Bryopsis. I hate this stuff. This is the main reason for the bulb replacement and I am increasing the Mg. I have been manualy removing the stuff as well.
Wow - that's quite a lawn you've got there. I can see why you're pulling your hair out (as well as the hair in the tank). Still looking really good though.
I take it the tangs aren't touching it? A Foxface Rabbit fish might be an idea if you like the way they look - your tank is big enough I think. They have a reputation for eating every sort of algae. I've never owned one though, so you might want to ask someone with more direct experience.
NO MORE BRYOPSIS! Yeah! Raised the MG to 1750 ppm and the stuff started to disappear along with some weed pulling on my part. If you have problems with Bryopsis, I'll be glad to share with you what I did.
