Here's the building of the wet/dry that I bought off Shavo and converted it into a refuguim. Just make the baffles as wide as you can between the original ones but leave enough space where the water can travel thru them.
I have a Mag 7 to return the water back to the tank. The Grate you see on the right use to be the piece that held up the bio-balls. I threw it in to catch any extra debris that may come out. It pulls in and out. It's not glued in. I cut up any extra pieces and made a lid to keep the spray down.
Thanks for the plants shavo
Final pic's up to date. The Lighting system is a CoraLife Aqualight Pro
2 96watt Antinic's, 2 150watt metal halides with 4 moon lights. 3 MaxiJet power heads 2X900 and 1x1200
i think the pics came out great!!! we need a rock drilling afternoon after you get some rock, mr. X can cure it if he isn't tempted to keep it for himself!
I think the tank looks great even though you have 30 gallons less than me HAHA! I am jealous! Looks great!!!
btw you put feet on the fuge? great idea and all the alterations on it are terrific, you should really post a threat on the DIY section of the transformation of a wet dry to a functioning fuge alot of people might be interested in that here!!! I wish i had the brain power to do it i would have never sold it to begin with great job!!!
I told you he hides!!!, but he will come out when you are 12 beers deep and the lights are out at 2 am. the best time to view a tank I think. the freaks come out at night and I am drunk enough not to care!!!
Mine creeps out in the light now when the tank is fed occasionally. he is one of those things that you know about and nobody else gets to appreciate it. you see him when he wants you to see him.
don't listen to X he is jealous because he doesn't have one and his sally lightfoot killed his mandarin.
