I am new to this site but have been keeping saltwater tanks since 1992. I started out with a 90 gallon F/O and a 55 gallon reef back then but was only able to keep soft corals and anemones in the reef tank. I kept these tanks up and running for about six years until I finished college and then setup a 180g tank when I moved to FL in 1999. I then bought a house and decided to go bigger so i setup a 450g reef tank but this wasn't big enough so I decided to setup my current 600g tank. The specs for this tank are as follows:

600g custom acrylic tank built by Fish and Other Ichthy Things in Oldsmar, FL.
Dimensions: 96"L x 30"H x 48"W. 1" Polycast Acrylic on all sides. External overflow box.

Water movement:
Sequence Barracuda (main circulation)

(4) 48" T-5's 54w/ea w/ Icecap SLR reflectors and run on 2 Icecap 660 Ballasts

Filtration:
120 gallon custom acrylic sump w/ filter socks for mechanical filtration
Custom built needle wheel skimmer rated for 1000 gallon tank

1000 lbs of Tongan Branch and Kaelini Live rock

Just the ability to have a small school of Purple Tangs makes me want to turn my 50gal into a sump. Nice fish! Huge tank.

how much time do you spend on your weekly maintenance or you hire someone to do that for you?

lovely tank. I wish I had the space to have one like that...
