Oooh. I'd missed this one up until now. Looking good! Really like those Vanderbilt Chromis...

Love the almost cube as well. Getting lots of ideas for when I eventually get my next tank... 8)

Thanks. Yeah, they're really something special. Great little fish. So far they seem pretty bullet proof, too.

Added the tunze 9010 skimmer to the tank last thursday. According to Roger Vitko of Tunze USA I should expect a break in period of about a week before it really kicks in. That said, as of this morning it had already collected about 150 ml of skimmate in the cup. Set up was a breeze, and the skimmer really is so silent you'd never know it was running if you didn't go look at the foam it generates.

There have been a couple of new additions, livestock wise, over the past couple of weeks. A small crocea clam, a small (under 2") open brain coral, and a mystery soft coral that I currently have a thread on in the collector's forum. Dealer I bought it from labelled it as "silver xenia", another dealer with the same stuff is calling it anthelia, but as close as can be determined so far it's actually a sansibia/sarcothelia species. Possibly sarcothelia edmondsoni from hawaii.

Saw that other thread. I actually really enjoy the corals that don't give away their identity that quickly. A worry in husbandry terms, but intriguing nonetheless. 8)

I saw a friend's tank with a Tunze skimmer recently. I was really quite shocked how quiet it was.
