Hey all, i wanted to share my tank spec's with you all. Im almost done building it and have started to add live stock.
Its a 120 gal. glass tank that i built. The front pane is starphire (low iron glass) with a custom stainless steel euro brace.
The back pane i drilled for a closed loop. The closed loop has an ampmaster 3000 on it.
I drilled the bottom pane for the overflows. The overflows i made out of 1/4" black acrylic. Its a coast to coast overflow.
This is an sps tank only. It"s bare bottom.
The rear and bottom panes are painted black and this helps hide the overflows and makes the bottom look nicer and keep the refugium light out.
The refugium is a 75 gal. tenacor acrylic tank that i hacked up, drilled and modified. Its an elevated refugium, meaning the flow comes up through the bottom. I keep cheatomorpha and another kind in there. Theres a nautilus skimmer (works great) heater and dropin chiller in this sump.
I have a 25 watt uv running 24/7 also plumbed from the sump via a Gen-X 4100. The other return from the skimmer side is a quiet one.
I have a total of 7 returns on this tank useing lockline for three of the returns.
The lighting im useing atm is two 175 watt MH's and two 4ft long atinics. I made 8 led moonlights that house white 468nm led's. The refugium lighting is made by halos.
The chiller is a 3/4 drop-in chiller by customsealife.
The top off water comes from a 4 stage ro/di unit plumbed to an auto top off switch.
All the wood work is custom by me. I skined the framing out of heart pine with bamboo doors and tambor doors (roll top like) for above the tank.
So far i have added three angels, ( majestic, swallow tail and flame) 9 green chromis, Two akindynos clowns, (paired up hosting a lta) a coris wrasse, two peppermint shrimps one cleaner shrimp and a host of snails.
Corals im only up to two so far. A moti cap and a purple acro. (will take sps donations! :) ) Hope you all like the tank.

What is it about plumbing that makes me smile so much. I swear I saw that back side shot and cant stop smiling. You planing on ever opening the back wall to that and making a small fish room (I always liked the idea of being able to do that).

I love Majestic Angels. They're one of my all time favourites. One day I'll get one. Great job with your tank and livestock.

Wow, I lost track of this site!
I am a long time member on another site and forget there are other great places also.
I guess i need to update this thread because the tank has gone through a few changes since i posted last.
All the wood has been changed over to Brazilian cherry.
The lights have been upgraded to 2x250watt 12k reeflux with Lumen Bright reflectors and 4x 54watt T5 actinic. 8 DIY moonlights.
I have replaced all the fish except the clowns. There much bigger now and spawning. :)
The corals are mainly sps with a few lps. I have 3 clams now.
Here are some pictures. I will get into details as they are asked.[/url]
