I have a 29 gallon tank that has been running for about 3 months.

Equipment

Coralife 30" Lunar AquaLight Fixture
1 X 65W 10000K bulb
1 X 65W Actinic bulb
2 X 3/4W LED Lunar Lights

Fluval 204 canister filter
Maxi-Jet 600
Maxi-Jet 400
Seaclone counter-current skimmer (it works)
30 lbs live rock.
50 lbs of argonite crushed coral

The fluval is used as mechanical filtration, carbon and phosphate remover. It gets its input from a fluval surface skimmer and the output pumps my skimmer. It seems to work well get a constant black coffee colour liquid.

I have

2 Clown's
1 Regal Tang (small)
1 BTA
8 blue leg hermits
5 Turbo Snails
1 Peppermint shrimp

I've been battleing a hair algae problem for a month. It appears to be subsiding. I was over feeding like crazy just thowing a whole cube of brine shrimp in for the two clowns. Phosphate went through the roof. ROOKIE'S

Well lots of changes to report.

I now have an ICECAP 250W MH with XM 10000K bulb. WOW.

Maxi-Jet 1200 for more flow.

I now have two BTA's as they decided to split.

And 7 coral frags. Which are growing nicely

FB, after your anemone split, did the two stay/are they still side by side?

And you still got that sun coral?

Yes the two are still side by side. One for each of my clowns.

I gave the sun coral to my uncle-in-law (he was really interested in it). I got tired of spot feeding it. It's in good hands.

I also gave him a small piece of my montipora that broke off. He has a nano with 36watt PC lights. I don't imagine it's going to make it but it was just a small frag. I talked to him tonight and the polyps are extended.

I'm going to start tracking my testing. I've had some corals lose a lot of color so I've been testing more getting everything in sync with Randy's DIY 2 part.

After acclimating some new corals and packing some xenia for my uncle inlaw. I needed to add about 4 gallons of sw. This will be this weeks water change. The results are as follows

Ammonia - NT
Nitrite - NT
Nitrate 0
Phosphate 0
SG - 1.025
Calcium - 420
Alk - 8.5 dKH
MG - 1200
Temp - 80
PH - NT

Add 80 ml of Part 1 and Part 2. Will test again tonight to try and determine my Alk and Cal uptake.

I added 120 ml or Part 1 and Part 2. As well I added 1/2 cup of Epson Salt.

I now have the following

MG - 1320
Temp - 80
PH - NT

you need to put those SPS like that acro ALL the way at the top. You might keep them alive but their color and growth aren't gonna be good in a tank with just power compacts

I now have a 250W MH XM10k ICECAP.

I also have about 50X turnover in it now.

I have a 29 gal tank as well.

I just bought a 2X65w Daylight 10,000K & 6,700K, Actinic 460nm & 420nm lunar light and fan...

And need to see if this is good or I need more ect. But would like to see what u have if u don’t mind.
