Hey it was an honest question. I'm from Houma. Would hate to see you loose your tank.

dont be afraid to move some of the rocks toward the front of the tank.. as long as you can get to the glass to clean it :) A wider base will let you have more room to stack your stuff. Believe me... it will be an issue with a few years worth of growth and purchases! :D

Mark - yea last thing I want is to loose another tank. Had just started a 55 when Katrina hit but was able to upgrade to a 90. Told my wife just yesterday that if this one gets wiped out I'll upgrade to a 180 :D :D

Snowman - thanks for the tip.

You were not the only one. I had just moved from Metairie, but had not moved my tank yet. Lost everything.

Pete, I hadn't seen all these new pics.

Looking beautiful!!! You have that acro growing under VHO's?

I would love to get one but I don't want it to die b/c I don't have MHs yet.

Crissy - You don't have to have MH for acro's. Some do quite well under VHO. I've got a couple of different one's and they seem to be doing good well and seeing some growth. May not get the crazy growth rate if it was under 6K MH but that's OK.

See I didn't know that. I was asking Steve on LARC but he never answered me and another person told me his stuff was under MH so I assumed that you couldn't keep acros under them.

I've got 48" 2 white actinics and 2 blue actinics over my 100 ga tank. Think it will be enough?

Let me know.

Thanks!

I've got 440W of 50/50 vho's also but was hoping to try some acros in a couple of weeks/months. Might also pull two of the 50/50s and put straight actinics in there because I really like your tank looks, Pettee! Keep the pictures coming!!! :D

Looking nice. Can we get a full tank shot. Looks like you got the tank from Coral Connection.

I will back you up on the SPS under VHO. I have grown them that way before. From my experience with VHO you do not have the flexablility of MH. The sps need to be higher in the tank and you need to stick to the less light demanding types.
