Looks awesome! Congrats!

Would you be so kind as to give me a little more info on your drain, specifically the elbow on the tank side & the durso on the back? I'm about to drill my Oceanic 40L & I have all of the plumbing laid out except I have my strainer directly in the 1" bulkhead like this:

BulkheadKit1.jpg

Then a hose attached to it going straight down to the sump.

You don't want the strainer into the bulkhead like that - leaves no room for water level adjustment - put an elbow in the bulkhead and the strainer into that. This way you can turn the elbow and adjust the water level.

Exactly, I need to know what size elbow into the 1" bulkhead? Slip/slip?

Also, what size Tee & fittings do I need to screw onto the threaded end of the 1" bulkhead on the back for the durso? Thanks!

Everything will be one inch - is your bulkhead threaded on both sides or slip ? Ideally the bulkhead inside the tank is slip - then you use all slip fittings so you can adjust it for water level - DO NOT glue...on the outside of the tank use a slip tee and glue a male thread to screw into the bulkhead, glue everything going down but not the durso pipe or cap.
