I would like to show you my new tank, which is over the pond with you guys this time  It's a 60 gall hex (converted trop)
it has 95 pounds of live rock
75 pounds of sand (25 live)
external filter (xp3)
seaclone 150 skimmer
large cleanup crew.
This is so much smaller than my normal tanks that i have run, but it is nice for a change to have a low maintenance setup instead of a computer controlled thorn in my side.

Nice tank Garry Looking good. Are you planning on SPS again. :D

At the moment this will do, maybe a couple of softies, but i will have a bigger tank than before once i get sorted. I have lots of idea's that i could'nt start on the 11ftr because it was just to difficult to strip and sort out.

Glad to see you are still posting! Hope you enjoyed your time at MACNA.

Tank looks good... I had a very similar tank with seahorses (and a goby/prawn pair) until a few months ago... keep us posted (and keep the pictures going).

Well as you know Wade this is so very differant to what i normally run back in britain so there is a lot to learn in going small. I find it far harder mixing small batches of water than what i used to find mixing 150 gallons for a water change. But i am enjoying it, and this tank is getting my fiance interested as well. So eventually i think it will grow into a very large one again

Well here is the tank after 26 days, after a slight ammonia spike after adding 3 fish. Ammo lock was added and a water change commenced. Feeding stopped and a trip to the lfs . Came back with 25 pounds more of live rock and 5 pounds of live sand plus a load of live rock rubble ( thankyou plymouth pet and aquarium center) There is now 125 pounds of live rock and 80 pounds of sand (30 odd being live) The ammonia has dropped to 0.25 this morning and i am monitering very closely. A water change will happen later, and i think everything should settle down now.
