Thought I would post how things look for my 65 gallon reef, started in February 2001. Bear with the photos, JPEG was all I had to work with
The specs are as follows:
HARDWARE
-65 gallon AllGlass Aquarium with overflow
-Ecosystem Filtration (sump, caulerpa and yes... miracle mud)
-Mag Pump 9.5
-Hamilton Retro Lighting, consisting of:
2 175W MH (1 12K sunburst, 1 6500K)(10 hour cycle)
2 65W Actinic PCs (12 hour cycle)
-2 Powersweep Powerheads on NaturaWave timer
-Electronic Dosing System (RO for top off with Kalk)
MEASUREMENTS:
Temp - 78-80 degrees F.
pH - 8.4
Alk - 4.0
Ammonia/Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - <1
Phosphates - ?
Calcium - 430
Salinity - 1.024
LIVESTOCK:
-70 lb. live rock hand picked at Tropicorum (Fiji lace and base)
-Lg. Green Bubble Coral
-Branching Green Frogspawn Coral
-Small Green Anchor Coral
-Green Open Brain Coral (Trachyphyllia)
-Red Open Brain Coral (Lobophyllia)
-Blue and Orange Mushrooms
-Button Polyps
-Star Polyps
-Golden Pagoda Cup Coral
-Tri-color and Green Acro Frags (1 of each-just added 2 weeks ago)
-6-line wrasse
-Pygmy Angel (C. Argi)
-Banggai Cardinal
-2 sea cukes, some 6-8 hermits, 2 trochus snails, 25 Nassarius snails (excellent cleaners!)

Here is the bubble coral (master of the tank):
Here is the frogspawn:
And the brains:
And finally, the mushrooms and anchor. The anchor I picked out at a LFS and was on its last legs. More than half the skeleton was exposed. I bought it for $10.00 and have nursed it back to health. It seems to be doing pretty good!
