Tank: 75 gallon glass Oceanic
Stand: Custom Oak and Black Acrylic
Hood: Custom Black Acrylic
Water Filter: 5 stage Reverse Osmosis system by RO Ultratec
Reverse Osmosis Mebrane: FDA Membrane 45 gpd FILMTEC Dow Chemical from APEC
Overflow Boxes: I use three hang-on design boxes rated at 600 gallons per hour each. Each uses a custom stand pipe design to reduce noise.
Sump: Custom acyrlic design (13.5" x 24" x 18") with two bulkheads in and out of the MAK4 and CV626.
Also has sponge partition for mechanical filtration of air bubbles.
Sump Pumps: One Rio 2500 and one Rio 3100 (hooked to spray bar behind live rock) with a total flow rated of 1600 gallons per hour at 0 feet head.
Substrate: CaribSea crushed coral and fine aragonite sand. Also use crushed sea shell mix. Depth runs from 2 1\2" to 7".
Plenum: Custom made with eggcrate, pvc, and fiberglass screening.
Salt Mix: Instant Ocean
Lighting: Two 250 watt Metal Halide Ushio double ended bulbs with a 10K Kelvin color temperature.
IceCap electronic ballasts specifically tuned for these bulbs. Two Spider Reflectors for MH's. Four 4" fans for heat transfer.Glass for UV shielding.
Protein Skimmer: Precision Marine Custom CV626 counter current venturi design. MAK4 air cooled external pump drives it exclusively (PS had to be built an inch and a half shorter).
Calcium\CO2 Reactor System: Precision Marine Custom CR422 calcium reactor and bubble counter with Eheim pump, 5 lb CO2 cylinder, low pressure regulator, fail to off position electric solenoid, and fine tune needle valve (was redesigned to have a narrow footprint due to limited space).
Water Top Off: Aqualan Nurce System
Waste Collector: Precision Marine WC612 waste collector with auto shut-off and carbon air filter.
Heaters: One 150 watt Visi Therm and one 200 watt Visi Therm (Do not get much use here in Houston).
Grounding: Titanium grounding probe in sump.
Hydrometer: Fritz 12" drop in float design.
pH Monitor: PinPoint
Temperature: Aquarium Pharmecuticals digital thermometer
