tank has been established for 2 years or so. xenia is multiplying quickly and is given away frequently. button polyps and mushrooms also multiplying.
equipment:
30 long AGA
1 20,000k 36" NO bulb on 12 hours/day
1 50/50 36" NO bulb on 12 hours/ day
1 actinic 36" NO bulb on lunar cycle
seaclone skimmer
1 marineland biowheel 125 w/o biowheel (a place to put carbon and provide a little circulation)
1 175 gph powerhead (forget the brand)
35 lbs liverock (mix of fiji and panama)
30 lbs caribsea sugar sized aragamax
maintenance:
feeding once every day w/ OSI spirulina
feeding every other day w/ spirulina enriched brine shrimp
top off w/ kalkwasser probably weekly
strontium
potassium iodide
20% H2O change once a month, whether it needs it or not
clean up crew:
15 blue leg hermits
25 astrea snails
5 trochus snails
1 emerald crab (1 armed--bought from tank that contained a mantis)
1 skunk cleaner shrimp
corals:
1 3" across pinkish pulsing xenia
1 4" across orangish pulsing xenia
1 5" across cabbage leather colony
1 4" across red open brain
1 3" across fungia sp.
