Well, today I finally got around to switching out the 72g. bowfront anemone and clam system to the custom made Starphire/Acrylic 150g. that has been patiently awaiting water. This is a very simple tank in terms of equipment, sumpless, no skimmer, 1 Vortech and an Aquatinics/Icecap 6 lamp Solar Flare T-5 fixture and a shallow ESV fine grade sand bed.
A NOTE TO BEGINNERS: THIS IS AN EXPERIMENTAL SYSTEM THAT HAS BEEN RUNNING IN THIS FASHION FOR QUITE SOME TIME. I DO NOT AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE ELSE TRY THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE A VERY FIRM GRASP OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND WHY.
Thanks to Tristan, Eric, Lissa, Tosiek and Kris for there assistance.
The tank got quite cloudy, and much of the aquascaping was done "blind", but as it begins to clear, I am quite happy with the results. A little tweaking is needed for sure, but the my basic concept was achieved and all the animals are open and seemingly happy. Here are few crappy pics for your enjoyment
