Tank looks amazing. Starting the design process myself. Looking into a 60x36x28. I noticed that you didn?t have a center support on the stand, appears to be 2x6. Is this how it was left or did you put in a center support. I have been told I will be fine with no center support over 49?, the legs will be 2x6 so a 5.5? return on either side cuts my 60? down to 49?

I think that with the 2x6 and the amount of cross beams that I put up it will be fine....however I do have 2x center supports for added peace of mind that I made to be easily removable for maintenance and ease of access for when I added the sump. Never would have gotten that thing if they were in the way. So yes, I do have them, are they necessary, ehh not sure but why risk it. Just make one that is removable or go with a custom metal stand that is super enforced lol

Got it, I hope it didn?t come off as I was questioning your work. Just that I?m debating my own design and wanted to know if you did what I was thinking. Wanted to go the route of a metal stand but no way of getting in, in one piece & don?t think my wife would be too happy about welding in the house.
You bring up a good point, I can put in a wood jack/king stud in the middle & in the event that I have to remove the sump it?ll be a couple of screws.
