I replaced my stand cabinet door knobs with something more themed. I think they're perfect

Not much in updates. Tank has been just fine. I've been letting the corals remain unmolested and they're starting to encrust and grow into the scape. I added a cleaner shrimp for fun but no fish yet as I'm waiting for a good deal.

So it?s been over a year since I?ve posted any updates cause I started some other hobbies to Feed the beast that is my hobby addiction. From Dart Frogs to carnivorous plants, planted freshwater tanks and even a paludarium with newts.

But I made big adjustments to my biocube as well. I removed the rock wall (sad) it wasn?t doing what I hoped it would. I also went to Reef-a-Palooza and bought myself a used Apex classic as well as a few corals and stuff. It was awesome there and can?t wait to do it
again. I also upgraded my refugium light to the JBJ nano light and what a difference it makes as my Chaeto is already growing noticeably faster cause the cheap light I had was slowly killing the chaeto, well at least it wasn?t helping it grow.

So major updates aside, yesterday I went to West Hamptons to visit family and on the way home I made 8 stops at various pet stores, LFS? and a bonsai nursery.

I was able to weed out shops I don?t ever need to visit again and find new interesting places as well.

One stop at the pets warehouse in Copiague was memorable... I just needed some nassarius snails and some freshwater nerites for my planted tank. I told them what I needed was 10 nassarius (they were on sale 10 for $10!) and 4 nerites. I didn?t hang around to watch them sift through sand to get them and they said they?d put them at the register when they finished so I left them to it and perused dry goods till it was done. I didn?t check the bags (dumb me) and paid and left to my next shop. Well by the time I got home and put bags in tanks to acclimate I found some irregularities.

that bag was supposed to have 4 nerites. Oh and the 10 nassarius snails? They gave me 10 fighting Conchs.

So yeah... anyone want one or 10? I?d love to trade for some nassarius or maybe a fun frag.

Been a while so I should make and update. I?ve decided to remove most of my soft coral out of the biocube and into a recently acquired (August 2018) Fluval Spec V. I love my planted one so decided I?d try a pico out of one and dedicate it to just softies and some lps. First photo is a progression from what it looked like when I bought it. Second photo is more recent and third photo is a recent Reef Life hack I learned today. Made some prefect sized cubes of Rods Food.
