Nothing in my tank is target fed. Every other day or so I feed a mixture of cyclopeeze and esv spray dired phyto. Once or twice a week I'll add in some rotifers just to keep it gully.

I alternate feeding during the period just before "lights out" and a little while after "lights out" (once everyone's feeder polyps are out)

Are you using Single or double ended lamps? I'm thinking about going with the 14k's (now use xm 10k) once my sps growth is where I want it. Slow the growth down and give more pop to the corals.

Wow. Thanks for the pics, this is exactly what I wish had been available when I 1st.set up my tank. I would not have done the poor job with the plumbing that I did. Threads like this one are fantastic for the newbies. Lots of info. here. Nice looking tank by the way.

I also tried using 100% off my drain water going into my skimmer and again skimmate production was not as good. I ended up getting surges and gurgles caused by large air masses followed by a water surge. The completely inconsistent water flow really killed the deltec's ability to skim. Using the "T" and ball valve allows me to regulate exactly how much water enters the skimmer and keep it consistent.

that's weird i am going 100% w/ none of those problems and great results...I guess i got lucky. Maybe it's the flexible tubing I use instead of the PVC? i dunno.

Nonetheless Nice tank and excellent choice of equipment. ;)

I know I thought about that Wes, I even tried using my Eheim 1250 as my return with it at 100% and the skimmate wasn't the same. I attributed it to inconsistent water flow but I'm not 100%
