Awesome colors.
How is the chaeto reactor? Any status update?

reactor is doing well enough I guess. Was dosing 4ml of vodka per day to maintain nitrates at 5ppm, now im using 0ml. Had an issue with the leds themselves, the waterproof coating seems to have burned and turned brown above each led diode which is making the color a little more orange. I was sent a replacement which I have yet to hook up yet.

Out of the frag tank, and into the DT.

I think I should name my hippo tang willy because of that deformity he has on the left pectoral fin. Thats not just from moving, its stuck like that.

Some sweet shots!

Thanks. Its easy now that I purchased this porthole. And also I found out how to adjust lighting temperature in adobe lightroom. It pretty much defaults to 6500k. Once I put it to 20000k, everything seems to be normal color again instead of overly blue.

Few more before bed. Wow this is addicting when you finally figure out how to get clear pictures.

Well it would seem that my mandarins mated last night after the lights went out.

I happened to look into the tank and saw them doing a little dance. I went over to get my flashlight and shined the light right on them as if they were the stars of a broadway play. After they did there little dance and made it to the surface, there was a quick jercking (had to put in the "c" so it didnt get censored) movement, eggs were released and both fish quickly began swimming back down to the bottom of the tank.

In awe I watched as the eggs floated on the surface for a little while, then they seemed to get caught in a current and were pulled to the corner of the tank. Thats when they got sucked right through the powerhead and with that my dream of seeing baby mandarins floating around the tank vanished and I headed off to bed.

Nice Gem collection :)

Thanks, ran into a massive problem this week... my frag tank which is connected into my main system had a pane of glass crack. Still recovering from that... so far losses have been minimal. Mostly just some damage I did to the corals as I was moving them between one tank and the other, and having pieces fall into each other without me noticing that. My entire bowser colony isnt looking too good either right now... :(

Although this was taken for a for sale post, I think its a beautiful picture. Dont know if I will ever get a red cap to grow this perfectly again.

Cheato reactor continues to work very well. This is a 6" dense tube of cheato grown from about the size of a baseball that i spread out... takes 2 weeks until I need to do it all over again.
