Upgradeing From a 90G to 150G

When I got the model 4 I couldn't fit it through the front of the stand on my 90. I ended up cutting out the front brace between the doors and put a temporary 2x4 off to the side until I swapped them real quick then put the original brace back and screwed it back into place with L brackets. I've seen some videos where people just cut a hole in the side of their stand and make their own door but I didn't want to do all that. I had a friend come over and help with the sump swap. I didn't want to go through all that with the 150 so I got the new sump first lol

It was a bit worrying but I looked at it as most of the weight on my tank type is on the 4 corners so I felt it was safe to do temporarily for such a short period of time and wouldn't compromise the stand. It's not something I would want to do again though.

Today's project is making a new durso. The marineland one is really noisy.

Hey MR,

New Durso pipe put in and what a world of difference. Noise is majorly reduced.

I Finished one LED unit so far. 26 leds on each panel. I'm starting off with 12 Cool White and 12 Royal Blue with 80 degree optics and 2 lunar leds one on each end of the heat sink. Just have to connect them to my Reef Angel Controller once I take it off my 90 gallon. I'll be testing the water again tomorrow to check on the progress. Here's a few more photos.
