Eye popping awesomeness!!! One of the best tanks on MR's.

You use your 400W MH bulbs for only 5 hrs/day, so how often do you replace your bulbs? Hopefully less often than 1x/yr?

You change out 35g weekly for the 212g total volume (~16% total volume). Why do you do it weekly, out of habit or do you see a negative impact if you do your water changes less frequently?

I change 35 gal a week to keep everything fresh at all times and don't give a chance for nitrates to creep up. When I had softies use to do it once a month which was fine but with SPS consistency is the key
