Well, I got this idea in my head I wanted a FOWLR tank. I bought a 120g and realized it's way too large to have both in my apartment. So I decided to upgrade my 40g rimless to the DB 120g.

Im using a Jabo-wp40. So far it seems pretty great for the $100 price tag. the high, low and random flow is spot on for my needs. Ill also be migrating over my MP-10 when I break the 40g down.

The rock wall is similar to my old 90g rockwall build, except this time I left the bottom open so detritus can fall down and get caught in the current. If not, I'm planning to dump a maxi400 back there. I used loose rock to cover up the exposed black egg crate.

Also, I had to move tanks and my AI's were ceiling mounted for my 40g. I had to build this complete abomination of a AI stand out of PVC. I didnt measure anything and cut everything by eye, then glued it. I was proud of what an amazing half ass job I did. AND ITS STABLE!

I like the hanging look. The PVC stand is just temporary until the 120g is done cycling and I can transfer everything and drill more holes in my ceiling!

im going to TRY using the 2 AIs to light the 120g. One on each side maybe. Worst case ill buy a third AI. I want all my coral to go on the left side and on the pillar on the right side. I want the tank to be less coral focused and more fish focused. I think the coral being designated to stay on the left side is a cool and interesting way to set it up. Most people just have coral everywhere throughout the tank. Have maybe plate type coral growing off the pillar might be really badass
