I placed a layer of eggcrate perched on 1/2inch PVC at the bottom of the tank, and added 160lbs of live sand....

Yea, I am a big fan of deep sand beds and with a tank this size, a minimum of 160lbs of sand was needed to accomplish that

Finals are over so I can finally upload some more pictures of the system....

It took two days for the water to clear up, so here is a picture with the aquascape..... Oh and I have since added more rocks to the system

My plan of action for the upgrade was to use 90% of the water from my 75 gallon, together with a bottle of Dr Tim's to speed up the cycle process, and just transfer everything.... But the fear of loosing everything kept me from doing this.... Instead of adding my livestock to the system I decided to leave the tank empty and tested the water everyday for 28 days to see if I would get a huge spike of ammonia, nitrite, nitrate.....
