noelskii's 65 Rimless Upgrade

Thanks to Manhattan Reefs and Hagen! I Won this tank/stand setup from the 2012 Spring Frag Swap Raffle.

Equipment List:

Tank: DSA Nano Neo Pro 65 (36 X 20 X 21)
Movement: 2 Mp10W ES
Return Pump: Deep Blue Triton 4
Skimmer: Bubble Magus NAC 7
Sump: 20H
Lighting: Widdy's DIY LED
Media: GFO/Carbon in TLF 150
Controller: APEX


Most of the stuff came from my 34 Gallon Solana. I did a 1 day tank transfer on Sept 4.

Unloading the tank from Con-way Shipping Company:

Picked up Widdy's old DIY LED (thanks!! ):

Placed tank where the Solana used to be and added new sand/water:

i would change those metal straps out to plastic clip straps and i would add a few more to the opposite sides of where u got em now...

Thanks! I already added some more clamps after the trial run. I could never find the right size herbie clip, I already bought 3 different sizes and none of them fit LOL.. I'm just gonna keep an eye on the rusting and change them out when they do.

Can you tell us more about the lighting ?

Thanks, Jonny! I think the lights are a combination of cool white, warm white and royal blues. There are A LOT of LEDs, so I'm only running them at 30% white and 40% blue. They're on a sunset/sunrise mode, so they each ramp for 2 hrs.

Wow Noel great tank!!! Quick question when you first got your sps frags you left them on the sand bed and then moved them up correct? If so how long do you leave your sps frags on your sand bed?
