My Mixed Reef Tank Thread

Wow placed my order on Friday for the float vavle and received it this afternoon quick shipping I will definitely be ordering more from bulk reef supply in the near future. Well on Thursday I did I first water change with red sea pro then tested my levels last night. Before I tested my levels my pH was 8.0 and now It's on 8.2. Also my calcium is on 480. I guess you can say the salt is working well

So yesterday I took out my old sump and replaced with a trigger sump and I'm loving the new one. This one is 30x12x15 here are pictures of the new sump. Also while I replaced the old sump I did a water change and all my parameters stood the same even my salinity it felt like I never did the water change LOL.

I dont like sand in the refugium. If you dont have a deep sand bed in your tank then i say go for it. It really doesnt add anything to the tank

Well I do have a 2 inch sand bed

Well decided to go barebottom this time around. But I'm not really liking my new rock work at all. Going to see if I come up with something if not going to leave it how it is right now.

Yes the frag I picked up at the last swap started to finally spit. Three baby are started to grow on the size of the Duncan frag now
