Here's the tank spec! First picture of the overflow, view from the back of the tank, then the tank. :pimp:
Im also jumping on this tank thread.. Wishing you the best.. And any ? Just ask.
Finally got some time, stained and polyurethane the stand. Did a horrible job, have to redo the door or buy a door someday for now i'll live with it. No time, no budget. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
Looks good...tagging along!
Stand looks good sam
Curious, is the center support on the stand removeable so you can access the sump?
Why not just leave that part out and make the doors all one piece. You could still do that after.
Yeah thats the pita part..lol i should have mine wet by this weekend my self doing the plumbing on sat.
I'm wondering how you will get a worthy sump in the stand with the support there. Or will it be somewhere else?
You could put some jack studs on each end to add extra support. You can go that distance without a center support. And for the aesthetics of the doors, you could just make them look like they are two doors.
o boy ..hes back......how ya bin sam.....see you wasted no time building a stand again...lol....good luck ....will be watching your build......
Sam, that's alot of rock!!! You sure you want that much in the tank?? haha.. You wont have much room for corals...
I think you overbuild your stand already..
Is that pukani rock from BRS? If so, you may want to cook it in some muriatic acid (if you didn't have plans to do so already)... that stuff is really dirty and people have had problems with it leaching phosphates.
If you look in my thread, the second picture down shows what was coming off of 10 lbs of rock mixed with water and muriatic acid.
