Recently moved my 55 and decided to start over the right way and buy new everything ( did a cheap quick setup before ). Any advice ?

If anyone in queens has a overflow lmk I will buy it I need 1

60 pounds of live sand
50 pounds of live rock i had in tank before....getting more soon
20 long to build fuge
20 pounds of live sand for fuge
Coralife skimmer
Return pump..forgot the sz
24 watt Uv Sterilizer
150 watt water heater
korilia powerhead
T5 light

Built a stand out of some old pieces of wood my grandfather had laying around....tank still sits on metal stand the wood is like a case for it

Added some live rock

I made the background black and i added live sand but water is cloudy as f#*!.....gonna hang the skimmer on hopefully that will help

May want to rethink your choice of skimmer other than that everything else seems ok for a fresh start.

The Coralife "Super Skimmers" are highly overrated for what they advertise and are pretty hard to tune in. If you bought that new I'd return it and try to get a used reef octopus either here in the marketplace or try to find a good deal on a new one online.

IMO Coralife skimmers aren't hard to setup. I setup a coralife skimmer for a buddy of mine well cleaned it too and didnt have no problem put it back to work. On top of that i dont think skimmers can be that hard to setup you just have to have right pantience for it.
