I got this acro from RM last year as a. kimbeensis. Doesn't look like kimbeensis, but rather some deepwater species. What do you think?

It's gorgeous. I love the green base of each polyp.

To me, it does resemble A. kimbeensis, but it's grown out more like a "deepwater" species in your tank (long, projecting coralites).

FWIW, I hate ID'ing SPS species ;)

Yeah, I love the green base too :) I thought it was Kimbeensis too until I saw it on aims coral search site. It doesn't look anything like the pics.

Hmm, the coral you got doesn't look ANYTHING like the coloration that RM portrayed it as.

It could be due to stress from shipping. Also, RM took the picture from topdown w/ 1000w 20k blasting from above. I would love to see my tank from topdow w/ 1000w 20k :)

Hahaha, yeah, you let Chris (is that his name over at RM?) worry about paying those electric bills for that much wattage.
