I was just cleaning up the basement and came across two electronic ballasts.
One is a GE/Universal 2 lamp rapid start F40T12 (ie it will fire two 40W T12's)
and the other is a Sylvania quicktronic that will fire four lamps - I am a little less sure about this one. I'll post photo's of the lables in a minute.
Both are brand new, never been used, and they are free if you need them (though I would take a frag if you had something to spare)
Let me know
Aaron

here are some pics of the ballast labels. Also have a free sub gravel filter plate if anyone needs it (fits a 10gal) .

WingoAgency, if you dont mind me asking.... what are you doing on a salt water board? I'm just curious
I'm not exactly being blown away by responses here so if at the end of the weekend no one wants them, them you can have them.
I could also do you a good deal on a small 10 Gal setup if you wanted to get into salt water.

Because I put all salt water stuff in a fresh water tank

My 55G has crushed corals, shells and dead rocks from Cancun and alot of sea shells from NY beaches. Therefore, being in a salt water community let me learn more about what I have collected in the hobby of "setting up strange/odd looking tank." Furthermore, I RESPECT the knowledge that MR memebers have. I also find that you guys like to DIY way more than other forums, so I decided to stay here. I am one of those crazy scientist.

I just wanna be a little bit unique in my style of doing things such as putting large fish in planted tank, community fish with territorial ones and putting salt water items in fresh water tank. This is a hobby/challenge to me-the hobby/challenge of finding the balance and the chanllege of creating something such DIY stuff.

I am interested in the salt water world when I was even a kid(I raised a clown fish in a bucket for 3 years that was saved from a fish market when I was 5) but always get hindered back by finance considerations. I would love the 10G setup to start with-tell me more. Thanks. :grouphug:

I am in around Bensonhurst Brooklyn. Would like to meet up with you to your convenience.

My number is 347 739 2411-my phone does not answer no caller ID calls and please do not leave voice mail since I hardly check them.
