Colonies and Frags

PD i have a sony point and shoot. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to photography, take a few dozen pics to get a few decent pics. The colony is a bali slimer. I'ts sitting on the bottom of the tank and growing out of the water 24"


Ricky, some are doin great some not so. The acans are struggling the most. Been told my water is to clean.

Happy Holidays All,... Did a major restructuring today on section of the tank. The sps especially the blue polyp stylo were growing out of the tank. To my surprise my tiny crocea that was put up high years ago had grown into a monster. I knew it was big but couldn't really tell how big because the stylo had grown around it and shielded it from view.Thje thing is a monster!! I am loaded with all kinds of frags and some amazing colonies if anyone is intrested . Didn't have time to start a new thread so i restarted this one. It's the same idea. Will be busy with the New Year stuff but can be here sunday afternoon or next week. Happy New Year !!! Mike

Here is a pic of the main section after i removed some small sections and the clam. Was a little scary when i went for the lift out. Luckily all stayed together.

Hello. You've given me hope for raising sps with vhs. Seeing is believing. What exactly are the vhos you are using? How many watts over what type, what brand, etc...?

Thanks J. have been using vho's since the beginning. The sps grow great under them. I just keep them high in the tank . Funny thing though i'm actually thinking of switching to t5's on the display. I took one of my small t5 units and put it over the tank and was blown away by the color pop of the ati blue plus bulbs. the other reason is Icecap has gone out of business so i figured that was a sign. I have notyiced that most of the sps i have put under the t5's in the frag tank have done fine. A few like the Karls candlelight dont like them. The pink lemonade looks incredible under the t5's
