It's time to downgrade, and I'm looking to sell this tank:
attachment.php

It's a 58 gallon, I built the tank with 3 sides starphire, and an external overflow.

The stand and canopy are maple ply with solid walnut trim.

Lights are Two Lumenarc Mini's which I've wired to 150W sockets, all fired by Icecap electronic Ballasts. There's a single T-5 for dusk/dawn effects. I have to fix the LED moonlights before they work again. All the ballasts and transfomers are mounted in a professional ballast box.

Sump is a 15gal AGA with a couple of baffles.
In it are a Deltec MC-500 in-sump skimmer, two TLF media reactors fed by an Eheim 1000, and an Eheim 1262 return pump.
Also in the stand is a DIY Kalk Stirrer. It's Motor Driven, so you don't have to worry about replacing a powerhead in a year or so. The reactor is larger than a Deltec KM500.

Lights and Heater (150W EboJager) are controlled by an ACJR with a DC8. I have a brand new pH probe I haven't installed. You get that too.

Circulation on the tank is a closed loop. 1" bulkhead feeds another Eheim 1262 that hits an Ocean's Motions 4-way.

I have a top off tank in a bench that matches the main tank. The top-off is a 29gal AGA with two float switches One at the top-there's a buzzer that goes off when it's full. After I flooded the floor once, I installed it. The other switch is at the bottom and a small LED comes on when the tank needs to be refilled. Both powered by 2 AA batteries. (I'll throw in 4 Energizer Industrial batteries that should last a long time.)

Here's the short list:
58 gallon Starphire tank with external overflow and closed loop
Stand and Canopy
15gal Sump
Deltec MC500
Kalk reactor
(2) TLF Reactors with Eheim 1000
Eheim 1262 return pump
Ehiem 1262 closed loop pump with OM 4-way
AC JR with DC8 and brand new temp probe
Top off bench with 29 gal tank. Has empty and full switches.
(2) Lumenarc Mini reflectors with 150W sockets, Icecap ballasts
(1) 24" T-5 Actinic
Ballast box

You can have the LR, Mushrooms and Palys if you want them.
Price is $2000 OBO.

Love the look of the woodwork. Did you frame it with 2 x 4's and then skin it with maple? Do you have a build thread that I could check out your pics? BTW, I will take the 1262 when you do decide to part out - thx.

Would you sell just the tank? If so how much and do you have any better pictures?

I am assuming it is 36" by 18". What is the height?

Did you make it or order it?
Is overflow drilled and permanent or just a hang on?

Guys and gals,

Everything has been sold except:

The tank/stand/hood: $500
I can't break up this sale because the stand and hood won't fit a standard 58. I built the tank to exactly 18x36. Most off the shelf tanks are 18 1/2 x 36 1/2.

Top off bench with 29 gallon tank, $100, free with the tank. The 29 has two float switches, one for 'empty' and one for 'full' An LED comes on when the tank is empty, and a LOUD buzzer comes on when it's almost full. (overflow warning)

Lights:$250
Right now they're still installed in the canopy. If someone buys them I'll go take them out and box them up. I'd really like to sell with the tank if possible.

Skimmer: $250
Cleaned and packed in the original box. Ready to ship to whomever wants it.

Eheim 1262: $90
Ran it in a bucket of muratic acid overnight, then a couple buckets of clean water. I think I can come up with all the fittings that came with it. (I had it hard plumbed in my system.)

Bin of live rock that's in the storage unit with the tank. I'm thinking it's around 50-70 pounds. $100
It needs to be cycled. I pulled the rock out of the tank the day I broke it down and put it in a big bin. It's been sitting there (stinking up my storage locker?) ever since.

Everything except the skimmer is at my storage locker in Brooklyn. Pick up there.

Cheers,
B
