1" - "deep water chromis" lol....
jk it's a yellow tail damsel just like the picture above. Got him in my sump.
Free to good home or if you have a frag of zoa or leather would appreciate that too. Lots of personality.

Hi all,

I just moved from NYC to out of state and have an approx 18G (including sump) Finnex M nano-reef tank that my friend has been keeping for me. She can't maintain it anymore, so I need someone to take it away. It comes with the tank, protein skimmer, sump in the back, JBJ auto top off, around 8-10 lbs of live rock, live sand, chem test kit and salinity meter, wooden stand, light ballast (I think the compact fluorescents are blown, though), single percula clown fish, and a bunch of other random stuff. I've probably spent over $1500 on it, and I just want it to go to a good home for free. I'll be back in NYC Thurs-Sat this week. Two caveats: 1) I can help drain it and take it apart, but I hurt my leg last week and won't be able to help lift it, so you'll probably need two people to come pick it up. 2) Please no selling for profit, and take care of the clown fish.

I love the idea of a pay-it-forward thread; if you have references from this board, especially from the moderator, I'm more inclined to give it you.

I'll be checking the board, but you can also email me at [email protected]. I'm working straight until my flight back, so I'll try to reply when I can.

Tank is located in Tudor City, near 41st between 1st and second ave, NYC.

Thanks,

Rob

there's a 12 yr. old boy on the board name tyler. he's a student in a school where one of our members (educator) is a teacher there. they have a small "reef" tank....just a simple 12 gal. eclipse tank with limited equipments and funds.
i've visited the school and observed james(educator) and his students. they showed great interests and learned a great deal from james.
here are some of the threads related to this.

That sounds great Tom, just what I was hoping for, actually. I'm on my way out to work, but will get in touch with you. I haven't been a very active member on this forum, so not sure how the PM system works yet, but if you send me an email I'll give you all the contact info.
