I am taking down my tank because I am moving soon.

At first I want to sell my live rocks. I have about 80 pounds live rocks in my tank. Most of them are Buno live rocks, with a few pieces of Marshall Island and Kaelini live rocks. My tank has been without MH for more than a month and is currently under 2 ATI 3 foot T5 HO. The rocks have lost some purple coraline algaes.

Most of the rocks are of football size with a few pieces smaller and a few pieces about 18 inches long or larger.

I ask $3/pound if you buy a couple pieces, or $2.5/pound if you take all.

The tank is a 36 x 36 x 24 - 135 gallons acrylic cube tank made with 1/2" Cast acrylic by Andy at My Reef Creations in Feb 2006. It comes with the optional centered External Overflow and the black acrylic back. For more info, please see http://www.myreefcreations.com/product_info.php?products_id=279 There are two minor scratches on the side. I have a deluxe scratch removal kit free to go with the tank. The total cost with shipping is more than $1000 for a new one. I ask for $400.

The sump is also made by Andy. Instead of the standard 36", it's a 30" Hi-Flow Sump. For more info, please see http://www.myreefcreations.com/product_info.php?products_id=317
I ask $200 for the sump.

All items should be picked up in Princeton, NJ 08540. Once live rocks/tank/sump are gone, I will list the equipment I have for sale. If you are interested or have any question, please contact me here or email at [email protected].

Thanks,

Sean

Sorry, I do not know what happened to my original post. It was here 10 minutes ago. It just disappeared after I edited a typo.

Hi!

Sorry for the late reply. I was out of town and just got back this afternoon. Here are the photos I just took of the rocks. Sorry for the dirty glass.

I did not say there is no light in the tank. The tank was under two 3 foot ATI T5 HO with IceCap SLRs. I got rid of my corals last month and just remove the MH to keep the chiller more quiet.

Thanks,

Sean

with no lights on rock for one month I'll give you 1.00 lb for all 80 lbs email me [email protected] mike

My tank is a bare bottom tank mainly for SPS. When I started it 2 and half years ago, I "cooked" the rocks in the tank for 1 month which means no MH and no T5 HO at all. The coraline algae faded, but came back more vivid once the lighing was back on normal schedule. There are still a lot snails/worms/gamma shrimps..., and a few green zoos.

Rocks are still available! To sweeten the deal, I throw in a small false percula clownfish and at least about 50 mature-sized Strombus snails (Strombus maculatus from Gerald at Indo-Pacific Sea Farms) free to go with the rocks!
