Scam Alert

Hello MR,

I posted thread in want to buy that I am looking to buy an ATO tank, there were 2 members reached out via message and when I started communicated with them via phone, I knew that this is scam, few points I that were big NO NO flags,

1. Shipping from Nashville via fedex is $18.00
2. Email address does not align with name,
3. Friends and Family paypal transfer so that he has funds available to cover shipping cost of $18.00

Just want to save hassle for others to look out for scammers like these,

2 members that are brand new joined in November reached out.

Thanks for the heads up. Lot of scammers especially if you post in wtb section. If I see someone who posted as few messages and brand new member, I walk away, even if he swears till tomorrow lol

I got pinged by AlbertRobert trying to sell me a clam. New account, no posts and replying to a post where I mention I am looking for something. Had another experience last month, same MO.

100% scam. I texted the number and these are the screenshots of the text exchange. As you can see he tried to call me from a block number, I knew it was him, and I answered.

He speaks with a thick accent and I could not understand him so he eventually hangs up and texts me to tell me that it is him.

He then calls back and explains how he would have his son ship it to me since he is not in the area, whatever, I was like well if he can ship it then he can meet me.

He kept saying how his son is not experienced with this and has school and work blah blah blah.

So I was like look, its really not that hard, pack it up and meet me.

He eventually said that if I was available tomorrow then he can see what he can do, my guess is he will ghost.

this is what I sent him, he would not call me or pick up my phone, he was keep asking for family and friends transfer because he wants to ship the package and he does not have $18.00 to cover the shipping. so this is what I sent him.

I agree with you bud, if we share these scammers with each other we can save many other reefers to become their victims..
