For sale is one (1) Ree Octopus BR-MF-140 Biopellet Reactor. It is in great shape and includes biologically active biopellets. I would recommend taking the reactor with the biopellets already in it as this will help them get established in your system as fast as possible. I
I used this reactor to solve my nutrient problem, and with insufficient nitrogen and phosphorus remaining, I am going to part ways with it. Hopefully it can solve your nutrient problem.
The reactor is in like new condition, and includes hard plumbing fittings. There is a threaded adapter connected to the union which comes with the reactor, which allows you change the plumbing configuration easily. You would need your own threaded hose barb fittings if you want to go that route. I modified the lid by adding a 1/4" FNPT port using a professional acrylic drill on a drill press and a high quality thread tap. This allows the addition of a 1/4" MNPT x JG Valve (you can see it in the photo, below, behind the discharge union) to allow easy purge of the headspace.
I even have about a quarter(?) third(?) of a gallon of BRS biopellets which I will include. These are new and never used.
The reactor (with its own active bio pellets) is $140, and the extra biopellets are $20. Pickup is in Scarsdale, NY. Weekday lunch time pickup can be arranged on Mondays or Tuesdays in Rego Park, Queens. Please note there is no pump with this reactor.
