Price is too steep, the spirit of belonging to MR is to collectively share knowledge and save each other a dollar while propagating the home reefs. Somehow, it’s becoming a place to try and profiteer. Good luck selling a $45 dollar fish at such an exorbitant price.

I don't know, capitalism is great and all but charging $1000 is excessive when you didn't pay anywhere near $1000 for.

FYI some guy in NJ is selling one for $200, which actually makes sense.

I'm in the city, and am a 3 block walk to Manhattan Aquarium (who I usually associate with high prices) can order them and sell for $450-$600. They're a business, so they have overhead and loss factor if their stock dies but even they aren't charging $1,000

I'll give you this, they did say that yellow tangs are hard to get now, but even they aren't charging $1,000.

Anyway if anyone wants to not bend over then call them (212) 594-2272, they may be high but they're not ridiculous and it won't hurt in the morning.
