These beautiful mini-carpets (Stichodactyla tapetum) get to about the size of a quarter. They are very easy to care for, and with some TLC, they will split (I bought three and now have over 20). They don’t need to be fed, although it’s fun to watch them eat. They don’t wonder too far from where you put it, and they’ll attach in minutes. They don’t seem to like extremely strong lighting.

They were originally purchased from Gary Majchrzak. For pictures and more details, please go to Gary's link:

I’ll trade for lots of things: softies, snails, small gobies, mini-stars, etc. Please feel free to make suggestions. I will say that the ones I have for trade are on the small side as I’m not that skilled at peeling them off rocks, but again you can expect them to grow and split in no time. I can always make up the difference in value with other frags or cash.

Please email or PM me if interested. Local pickups only. Thanks.

Thanks for all the replies. It's possible that all the ones I managed to get off the rock are spoken for, so you may have to wait if you haven't contacted me yet. Please let me know if you're still interested though.

I will try to send replies to everyone, if I haven't already.

Neo_TA, they are most likely too small to be hosts. If that's your only intent, you probably don't want one.

Pete, I have to see. Maybe sunday morning we can go. I could use a trip there and possibly to Country Critters(I'll bring directions!) My GF owes me a goby or a new chalk bass
How's my blenny doing? Hope he's well. I'll bring you some zoos.

Sting what? Definitely not people. Given their size, I can't imagine that they can do much damage to corals either. They are anemones and may move around, so I can't guarantee 100%. I rather trade.

I will vouch that they don't sting.

Here's one that's made itself at home with the Zo's:

They are a wonderful addition to the tank. They move around very quickly, until they're comfortable!
