I had a huge purple stylo colony (around 7"x 9") that I posted a while back here on MR. I wanted to sell it to a fellow hobbyist....I was asking $75 for it. Some attempts were made to purchase it from me where I suspected the individual was going to frag it up and sell forty frags at $25 each ($1000)....it was sold to a hobbyist who sent me a pic of it in his tank. I was happy that he got to enjoy what he was looking for......which was a nice sized colony.
I guess from another perspective if you are being paid what you are asking for an item then you shouldn't worry about what that individual does with it. My perspective was that I wanted it to go to a guy like me and not be chopped up. To each his own.
